NIGHTWISH Complete U.K. Tour: Photos Available

July 18, 2004

Finland's NIGHTWISH have completed a sold-out U.K. tour with a performance at the London Astoria on Friday, July 16. Photos from the gig and a review can be found at this location (courtesy of Rockers Digest).

NIGHTWISH's recently released follow-up to 2002's "Century Child", "Once" has been certified gold in Germany for sales in excess of 100,000 copies within two weeks of its release. NIGHTWISH have sold more than 30,000 copies of "Once" in Finland — enough for the CD to be certified platinum in the group's home country. A U.S. release date for the album has yet to be announced.

NIGHTWISH recently spent time in Germany filming the video for the song "I Wish I Had An Angel". The song, which is expected to be released as the second single from "Once", will appear on the soundtrack to the new movie "Alone In The Dark", starring Christian Slater and Tara Reid. Directing the video clip and the movie is Uwe Boll. The film is expected to receive a theatrical release this fall.

NIGHTWISH's North American tour will kick off on August 16 in Toronto. Support at all shows will come from fellow Finns LULLACRY.
